California-based metallers Wreck of Time have released their official music video for "She’s Made From Sand" from their album From Sand – Part I.
Direction was handled by award-winning horror film director Tommy Merry ("Number 19", Requiem For The Dead). Portraying the character "Anne" was artist and actress Alexis Williams. The video was shot across seven days in seven different San Francisco Bay Area locations: Secret Studios in San Francisco, Half Moon Bay, Lafayette, and Concord. The concept is rooted in the story and themes of From Sand Part I.
Rafael Macedo:
“It was an old dream of mine having a full professional video for Wreck of Time. Tommy’s work is simply phenomenal. I feel really lucky that our paths crossed — beyond being an amazing director, he is also a great friend, and the way he captured the whole concept of From Sand Part I is mind blowing.”
Tommy Merry:
“The first time I got together with Rafael and listened to the album I was immediately drawn to ‘She’s Made From Sand’. As a horror film director and a pagan myself, there are a lot of mystical references that I loved about the song. We approached the music video as a collaborative artistic endeavor and saw it through from stem to stern. There are many hidden meanings and symbologies within it — we’re looking forward to hearing what fans discover.”
